Just Inside Yellowstone's East Entrance Tues., Aug. 30, 1988
	It was soon apparent that all would not be "business as usual" at Yellowstone. Normally all of these campgrounds close no earlier than late September (except for Pebble Creek, which generally closes after Labor Day). But the threat of fire and lower attendance rates took their toll on the park's overnight accommodations in late summer 1988. Dry grass and haze as shown in this photo were ever-present during my stay.
