The Lake Yellowstone Hotel Photo Pages
page 2

(above)  Perhaps one of Yellowstone Park's lesser known pleasures is the view and casual atmosphere of this magnificent   sun room just off of the Lake Hotel lobby. To the right of this photo is a grand piano which is used daily for the entertainment of guests. A cocktail bar is nearby, as is the stately Lake Hotel dining room. Many Yellowstone regulars are convinced the food served here is the best in the park. Dining guests are treated to spectacular views of Lake Yellowstone and menu items slightly more elegant than those found in most of Yellowstone's eating places..

(left) The sun room, seen on the left side of this photo, was added by architect Robert Reamer during later renovations in 1928.

(right and below) Whether it is rainy or dry, just looking towards the lake from the comfort of Lake Hotel can be a relaxing experience. The oval window below is an original fixture from early 20th century renovations and still contains its wavy hand-blown glass used in construction of the era.
