(above and right) A sudden snow beginning on the afternoon of May 11, 2004, just four days after the Old Faithful Inn's May 7th 100th anniversary opening day ceremonies. The snow continued through the night and accumulated several inches by the next morning.
      Snow can occur
any month in Yellowstone.
